This is a definite turn-on – we’re talking about a power strip that features cord plugs which function as a candle holder for 11-inch tall candles. This is a design by Brooklyn-based Design Glut, where each one of these cord ends can be plugged in, and will definitely add some sizzle to your living room decor with candlelight instead of electricity. According to the designers behind this idea, “We wanted to explore a theme we’d touched on our past work,” they explain. “Energy consumption. While our culture is constantly burning through electricity, we don’t think about it much, other than the monthly reminder of our electric bill. We ultimately designed a visual reminder of that concept: ‘burning through electricity.'” Fair enough, and you can bring home the candles and strips in black, white orange shades at $60 a pop.
