Just when you were wondering how small computers could get, along comes CompuLab and the Trim Slice machine which certainly lives up to its name. Running on a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor, this little machine that could will also be accompanied by 1GB RAM (albeit DDR2), a SATA solid state drive (a hard disk would certainly make it all the harder to have a small form factor like this), the ability to support for up to 64GB of storage space which is inclusive of SDHC and microSDHC memory cards, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, HDMI 1.3 support, DVI video and 5.1 channel S/PDIF audio. It sips a mere 3 watts of juice, all coming in a fanless form factor that measures 5.1″ x 3.7″ x 0.6″. The ARM-based chip means you won’t find Windows 7 here, but rather, have the option to play around with Google Android or other Linux-based operating systems. No idea on pricing, although it will hit the market this coming April.
