The name Compulab conjures up images of extremely small desktop computers, coming in form factors that you would never have imagined a decade ago. Well, don’t be fooled by its size, as just like other toy dogs, this one packs quite a bite – their latest release, the Fit-PC3 will no longer run on the Intel Atom platform as with its predecessors, but will instead dance to the tune of the new AMD G-Series embedded chips. Apart from that processing muscle, you will also find the Fit-PC3 accompanied by an integrated AMD Radeon HD 6310 or 6250 graphics chipset and hold up to 4GB RAM, sporting an HDMI port, DisplayPort video output, 7.1 channel audio support with S/PDIF and analog output, a 2.5″ hard drive, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity as well as a couple of eSATA ports. While all of that has caused the Fit-PC3 to be a wee bit larger compared to Compulab’s older models, you can’t really argue too much with a 6.3″ x 6.3″ x 0.98″ form factor, can you?
