ZTE Skate debuts at MWC 2011

[MWC] ZTE from China hasn’t really impressed all that much when it comes to their range of smartphones, but this time around, the company decided to take advantage of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to roll out their Android-powered Skate. Why is it called that? Well, the phone was apparently “inspired by a skate board”, where it features a 4.3″ display of unknown resolution, with Android 2.3 Gingerbread running at its core. An 800MHz CPU with the Adreno 200 GPU will keep things running just fine and dandy, sporting a 5-megapixel camera located at the back. The cellular bands do not seem to indicate a US release anytime soon, even though ZTE might have the intention to enter the American market. Perhaps in ZTE’s next effort, things will start looking up for them?
