Are you looking for a soundbar speaker for your home theatre? If you are, you probably know that soundbar speakers tend to go for hundreds of dollars, with some of the more high-end models ranging in the thousands, so perhaps Maxell’s SSB-1 soundbar speaker is something you may want to consider, as it comes with a very budget-friendly price tag of $130.

For those who are unfamiliar with soundbar speakers, they are generally used for home theatre systems whereby the owners are trying to avoid tons of wiring and who may want to supplement the sound coming out of their television unit, and as you can see in the picture above, they tend to be space savers. In fact Maxell claims that the SSB-1 can be used a pedestal for smaller television units that weigh below 55lbs.

Maxell’s SSB-1 combines two 7.5w speakers with a 15w subwoofer which will most probably not blow you away, but for $130, you do get what you pay for. It also apparently features a 3.5mm audio jack input, which means those who prefer RCA inputs will need to look elsewhere.
