Swann unveiled its first wearable HD video camera with a detachable LCD viewer and 3X digital zoom. Enclosed in a sturdy case, the Swann Freestyle HD is waterproof (up to 65’), capture 1080p HD video (1920 x 1080 pixels) at 30 fps with stereo audio and shoot 8 MP still images both in single-shot or rapid fire.

The camera can be worn on the body or mounted on a bike, a skate board, a car, a helmet; the possibilities are (almost) endless, thanks to included interchangeable mounts and brackets. A wireless remote control allows users to operate the camera when it is mounted out of arm reach and they can immediately see the shot on the detachable 1.5” LCD screen (picture below after the jump).

The camera can be connected to a HD TV via a HDMI cable and images can be transferred to a computer either with a MicroSD or the included USB cable. The lithium-ion battery is USB rechargeable and provides 2.5 hours of recording time per charge.
