Acer A100 and A500 to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich this April 27

Yesterday, we talked about the Acer Iconia Tab A510 Olympic Edition finally hitting the market for $450, and today, we have word on another two tablets from the Acer camp – the Acer A100 and Acer A500 which will be on the receiving end of their just desserts – namely, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, which will arrive from the 27th of this month onwards. For those who are having a whale of a time with AT&T’s variant of the A500 (known as the A510), be prepared to swallow a bitter pill though, as the support page mentioned that there is “no update planned.” For the full list of geographical regions as well as planned update releases, you can head on here.
