Lensbaby has just announced their latest release – the Composer Pro that will target Micro Four Thirds cameras (which will include the venerable Panasonic Lumix G Micro System and Olympus PEN range), Sony α NEX, and Samsung NX cameras. The Composer Pro was specially constructed to see action with mirrorless cameras, and will also be compatible with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, where it will ship with the Double Glass Optic installed. The original Composer Pro rolled out in March last year, where it boasted of a metal swivel ball design and refined focus mechanism in order to deliver ultra-smooth focus and tilt control. With an updated focus mechanism that will carry a fluid and accurate dampened focus ring that is comparable to the focus mechanisms of the highest quality professional manual focus lenses, you can be sure those who own a Micro Four Thirds camera will be pleased with this new accessory.

The Double Glass Optic is a 50mm f/2 selective focus optic which will deliver a sweet spot of sharp focus which allows photographers to move around the photo freely simply by tilting the Composer Pro’s swiveling lens body. It will play nice with the entire range of creative optics that are within the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, such as the Edge 80, Sweet 35, Fisheye, Soft Focus, Pinhole/Zone plate, Single Glass, and Plastic. Expect to fork out around $300 for this particular version of the Composer Pro.
