One of the added benefits of DLCs is that sometimes it gives the player additional content that other players may not have access to normally. This content might be simply cosmetic or it could give gamers a huge advantage. While some believe that when a game is bought and paid for, that should be it, while others don’t mind paying the extra for DLCs since they believe it will enhance their gameplay. That being said, if you’re looking forward to Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 5 which is scheduled for September, you might want to take note that if and when Team Ninja releases DLC packs for the game, do not expect to find additional characters.
This was confirmed by Team Ninja’s chief, Yosuke Hayashi, who stated that by offering additional characters, it might prove to be unfair. “We feel like this is a kind of sport, and you don’t change the rules for sports. Everybody plays by the same rules. You don’t have a 14-player soccer game versus an 11-player soccer game. That’s just not fair.” So what do you guys think? Yay or nay on the lack of additional characters in future DLCs?
