Have you played any of the Doom games before? If you answered in the negative, then you do not know what you are missing out on. Doom 3: BFG Edition was recently announced, and boy did it stoke the fire in the belly of many a fanboy. We do know that Doom 3: BFG Edition will be making its way to the PS3 platform sometime this October – making it the first time the entire Doom series can be played on the PS3, and it is hoped that Doom 3: BFG Edition will be able to garner some more fans who missed out on it when it was first introduced to the masses.
Eric Webb, the producer of Doom 3: BFG Edition was interviewed, and he claimed that the controls on the PS3 will stand up pretty well, although I still feel that when it comes to FPS titles, nothing – and I mean nothing, beats the standard mouse and keyboard combination. Let us keep our fingers crossed that the DualShock 3 controller and its dual analog sticks will be able to function properly.
