While Apple may or may not embrace the idea of styluses, it has not stopped third party manufacturers from creating them anyway. While some of these styluses have gone and proved to be successful, one of the sticklers of using a stylus is that usually you have no where convenient to store it when you’re done. Sure you could put it in your pocket or your bag, but there is a chance of losing them or forgetting to bring them with you while you’re out. That being said, a Kickstarter project for an accessory dubbed the Motive Stylus might be one worth checking out.

As pictured above, the Motive Stylus can be unrolled and placed flat on the iPad Smart Cover. This is thanks to the stylus actually being made out of magnetic rods that can be rolled up or rolled open. It’s a pretty unique idea and sounds like a great way to stow your stylus when not in use. In fact given its flat profile, it looks like it will even stay put when the iPad’s Smart Cover has been rolled up and used as a stand. Since this is a Kickstarter project that has yet to see the light of day, we can’t really speak for the effectiveness of the stylus, but if you think that the Motive Stylus has some potential and you wouldn’t mind donating to help get it into production, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
