If you haven’t heard of the Nixeus company before, we don’t blame you, but if you’re in the market for a 27” monitor then perhaps the Nixeus Vue monitor might be worth your consideration. Featuring a 27”display and a resolution of 2560×1440, other features of the Vue monitor also includes LG’s S-IPS technology, a 380cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 1,500:1. The monitor also features a gray-to-gray response time of 6ms, a 178-degree viewing angle and will come with a pair of stereo speakers built into it. Probably not for the discerning audiophile but we expect it should be good enough for those who might only need their speakers on occasion. It comes with a host of connectivity options such as VGA, HDMI 1.4, DVI-D and DisplayPort 1.2, with the monitor’s full resolution supported by all except VGA. If you’re planning an eyefinity setup, it should also be noted that the Vue can be rotated to portrait orientation as well. It is expected to go on sale this August and will be priced at $430.
