It is rather hard to believe that a company like Bang & Olufsen has yet to roll out a Smart TV that they can call their own, and we are proud to announce that such a day has finally arrived. The BeoVision 11 is Bang & Olufsen’s first foray into the Smart TV scene, where it intends to be one (luxurious) all-in-one entertainment and information hub in your living room. Touting a careful balance of form, function and technology, the BeoVision 11 sports half a dozen speakers that has been crammed into its slim interior, where each of these speakers will boast of a dedicated 32 watt ICEpower amplifier.

The enclosure will be supported by rubber bushings in order to negate vibrations which might occur throughout the rest of the TV, while a new digital signal-processing algorithm is powerful enough to pull it all together, where it can alternate seamlessly between dedicated sound modes whenever it detects music, sports, drama, and movies being played, among others. With a full digital surround sound decoder module, it can deliver up to a dozen audio channels via Bang & Olufsen’s TrueImage processor.

While the BeoVision 11 is a DLNA TV, it will also come with a host of other connectivity options such as WiFi, Ethernet, a couple of USB ports, a trio of control outlets for control of up to six connected devices, and half a dozen HDMI sockets. The BeoVision 11 will come in 40″, 46″ and 55″ sizes, with prices starting from $5,995 onwards. [Press Release]
