If you’re in the market for a set of speakers that will match your iMac, then the UCube speakers might be just what you are looking for. While we doubt that they will be able to offer the same type of clarity and tone one might expect from a high-end, audiophile-grade speaker, we believe that these speakers should be more than enough to get the job done. For starters, as you can see above, they have been designed to resemble the iMac – at least to a certain degree, and are made from brushed aluminum. Secondly these speakers will connect to your computer via USB, which means that your audio jack on your computer will remain free so you can connect another set of speakers to it if you wish. According to its manufacturer, these speakers will be able to put out 15 watts each, and thanks to a built-in DSP, it supposedly will be able to churn out relatively good sounding tones. We have yet to try these for ourselves so we can’t really speak to its audio quality, but if you’ve got $150 to spare then maybe you might want to check them out.
