They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, although when it comes to intellectual property, flattery usually has a price attached to it. According to Korean website, ThisIsGame, the rest of an upcoming movie titled “The Terror Live” is said to share some similarities to Battlefield 3, with some even going as far as calling it a rip-off. We have not seen the movie for ourselves, so perhaps the trailer is the only portion which shares some similarities, but naturally some people aren’t that pleased about it. According to the accusations, the music style and build up are said to be too similar to that of Battlefield 3.

The movie’s distributor, Lotte Entertainment, was quoted as saying, “The Terror Live has elements in which a terrorist act is being covered live, and this could be similar to video games. Thus, since the movie tried to convey same feeling you get from video games through sound, it may have ended up evoking a similar sensation.” We’re not sure what EA or Battlefield 3’s Korean distributor will do about this, but if you want to check it out, the trailer for the movie can be see above, while Battlefield 3’s trailer can be seen in the video below.
