Vivo Y20 Makes An AppearanceIt was just recently that the Vivo Xplay 3S was unveiled, with the company beating out the likes of Oppo to be the first in the market with a 2K display. Well it seems that not too long after the Vivo Xplay 3S was announced, another handset by the company has decided to grace us with its presence in the form of the Vivo Y20. Unfortunately unlike the Xplay 3S, the Y20 will not sport the same outstanding and eye-watering display, but it does pack some decent mid-ranged specs which should appease the customer on a tight budget.

No word on when the Vivo Y20 will be released, but if the reports are to be believed, the handset will reportedly be priced around $320, which makes it pretty damn affordable. So what sort of specs are we looking at here? Well would-be customers can look forward to a 5.5” 720p HD display. It will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, and will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD, a 2,600mAh battery, and will run on a customized version of Android 4.2 which the company is calling the Funtouch OS.

The Vivo Y20 will also feature an 8MP rear-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.2, making it a pretty decent camera for low-light situations. It will also come with a dedicated audio decoder from Texas Instruments which provides the handset with HiFi audio which should prove to be a bonus for the more discerning music lover. Like we said there’s no word on availability just yet, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info.
