Blizzard has confirmed that following the release of Warlords of Draenor expansion this November, the World of Warcraft subscription fee will be increased. It confirmed that keeping changing local and regional market conditions in mind, Blizzard is going to increase the pound sterling subscription price of World of Warcraft. However there’s a catch that plays nicely into the hands of players that already have recurring subscriptions.

The publisher, Blizzard, announced that those who already have a recurring subscription plan at the time of this price change will be locked in to their current subscription fee for two years after the price increase provided that they don’t change their subscription plan.

This will apply to anyone who signs up or already subscribes to a plan. It also said that a reminder will be sent to World of Warcraft players two months before the price increase so that they can lock down their preferred plans for two years.

The new pound sterling subscription rates for World of Warcraft are £9.99 for 30 days, £28.17 for 90 days, and £52.14 for 180 days. As per Blizzard the suggest retail price of the 60-day prepaid card is going to be £20.99

World of Warcraft’s Warlords of Draenor release is destined for November 13th.
