Heads up World of Warcraft fans, if you’ve been looking forward to checking out some of the changes that Blizzard has made to the game in the upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion, you will be pleased to learn that pre-patch 6.0.2 has been released. This is right on schedule and for those who have not downloaded the patch in the background, you guys are look at an 8GB download.

That being said, the patch will introduce many new changes to the game, such as updated character models. Unfortunately these new character models will only be applied to the Tauren, Orc, Troll, Human, Dwarf, Undead, Gnome, Dranei, and Night Elf. Blizzard expects that the Blood Elves, Goblins, and Worgen will be updated at a later time.

Blizzard has also reclaimed a bunch of old and used character names that have been inactive since November 13, 2008, so if you had a name that was previously unavailable, you can try to see if you are able to use it now should the original owner have been inactive all these years. The patch has also updated the user interface and new events have been introduced.

Blizzard has also removed Justice and Valor points from the game, so gamers who have existing Justice and Valor points will see them converted into gold instead at a rate of 47 silver per point. You will receive the gold in your mailbox, so you might want to check it to see how much you have made. In the meantime you can check out the video above to see a walkthrough video on some of the changes Blizzard has made to the game thus far.
