nexus-7-2-review--014

Nexus 7 was always a great option for people out in the market for a new tablet. It offered decent specifications at a relatively cheap price, and the fact that it was always one of the first devices to receive a major software update from Google. That’s not to say that the Nexus 7 didn’t have any worthwhile competition, it certainly did, and perhaps that’s what has compelled Google to discontinue Nexus 7.

The 7-inch tablet is no longer listed for purchase on the Google Store, instead there’s a note in red which says that this tablet is “no longer available for purchase.”

Google has officially stopped selling the Nexus 7 but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get your hands on one if you were so inclined.

Many third party sellers on Amazon are still selling this tablet, plus many are still in circulation so it won’t be hard to find a moderately used unit.

Perhaps Google felt the need to discontinue Nexus 7 because it has been replaced with the Nexus 9. It’s a newer tablet with much better specifications so naturally it would be more attractive to customers.

Google first launched the Asus-made Nexus 7 tablet back in July 2013, but now though it seems like this tablet has finally been put to rest for good.
