The folks over at Konami has just announced that PES 2016 would be getting a September 15th as well as September 17th release date, depending on the region in which you live in. Basically, the release of this particular title will mark the 20th anniversary edition of a football series that has done very well for itself in the past two decades.

Kicking off (pardon the pun) all those years ago on the PSOne, the PES series has certainly done its bit to up the ante in the realism arena, and PES 2016 certainly intends to retain its title of ‘Best Sports Game’. Fans of the series can expect fresh gameplay to accompany the title, including the likes of an Advanced Collision System, a new physicality system that takes Aerial Strength of players into account, throwing yet another spanner into the tactical works of the game.

In addition, the 1v1 player control has also been enhanced, allowing one to pull off a wide range of movements using the current controls, in addition to improved response times so that players can maneuver in tight situations. There is a slew of changes in PES 2016, that is for sure, and it remains the only title that has exclusive use of the UEFA Champions League club competition. Are you stoked yet?
