When your child is sick and down with a fever, the last thing you’ll want to do is wake them from their rest just to take their temperature, but thanks to the advancement in technology, this will no longer be an issue for parents. Blue Spark’s debuted their smart thermometer TempTraq at CES 2015 earlier this year, and the good news is that it is now available for purchase.

The Bluetooth thermometer is now available at a rather affordable $25. For those who are unfamiliar with the device, basically it is a patch that you can place on your child. Thanks to its Bluetooth connectivity, parents will be able to remotely monitor the temperature of the child without having to interrupt their rest.

Parents will also be able to set temperatures so that the app will be able to notify them in the event it goes above a certain level. Parents can also log the time when their child eats their food and takes their medicine so as to keep better track of their child’s recovery. Granted it’s not necessarily the be-all-end-all of medical devices, but it does sound like a pretty nifty gadget worth considering.

If you’d like to get your hands on the device, head on over to its website for the details on how to purchase it for yourself.
