new-kindle-fire-hd-8-tablet-benchmark

Amazon has launched a new product today, its thinnest and most expensive Kindle yet, the Kindle Oasis. It appears that the company might be putting the final touches on another new hardware product that could be released in the near future. Benchmarks have been spotted online of what appears to be a next-generation Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet. There’s no indication from the company yet that it has a new tablet coming out soon.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos had revealed through a tweet himself a few days ago that the company will soon release a flagship Kindle e-reader. So far he hasn’t made such an announcement for a new tablet so it remains to be seen if and when this new Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet comes out.

The benchmark reveals that this tablet has the same 8 inch 1280×800 pixel resolution display as its predecessor but does come with a new processor. It replaces the existing MediaTek MT8135 processor with the MediaTek MT8163 64 bit chip that has four ARM Cortex-A53 cores coupled with ARM Mali-T720 graphics processor.

The changes seem normal enough that it doesn’t appear entirely impossible for this updated Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet to be a reality. It’s unclear right now when the company plans on releasing this new tablet so we’ll have to wait and see when that happens.
