destiny_ps4_exclusiveThe thing about exclusives is that sure, it benefits people who are part of the exclusive group, but at the same time it is also a bit unfair to those who aren’t. If you are an Xbox One owner and you were looking forward to getting your hands on the PS4-exclusive Destiny content, it seems that you’ll have to wait until 2017.

Now if you’re thinking about the latest Destiny expansion Rise of Iron, you would be right as some of the expansion’s content will be exclusive to the PS4 until the fall of 2017. However it has been spotted on the game’s website and the PlayStation Store that Destiny’s older content from The Taken King will also be exclusive to the fall of 2017, meaning that this exclusive is being extended by yet another yet.

However to be fair, the exclusivity states that “at least Fall 2017”, meaning that it won’t be released any earlier than that, but it could be extended beyond that to whenever they deem it fit, or whatever the agreement between they and Sony say. If you were hoping that this was a typo, you would be disappointed as Polygon has since confirmed with Activision that the dates are correct.

In any case we guess Xbox One gamers will really have no choice but to wait, which hopefully by then the content will still be relevant and in demand, or maybe gamers would have moved on to bigger and better things by then.
