Amazon today announced the first-ever eSports tournament for casual games called Champions of Fire Invitational. It takes place in Las Vegas next month. The tournament will see sixteen of the most popular gaming celebrities in the world compete against each other in some of the most popular casual games like Pac-Ma, Fruit Ninja, Crossy Road, and more. They will be competing for a share of the $100,000 cash prize.

Champions of Fire Invitational is going to be a one-day event held on December 2nd, 2016 from 2 – 9 pm PT at Paris Las Vegas. Tickets will be available for free through the tournament’s website.

If you’re not able to make it to Las Vegas to watch the proceedings live, don’t worry, CBS Sports Network is going to air a two-hour special that features highlights from the tournament on December 12th at 7 am PT.

This tournament is actually a way for Amazon to promote its Appstore, which hosts some of the best mobile games available for Android devices and often offers a few of them for free as well.

“The Champions of Fire Invitational will see some of the top gaming pros square off in the same fun games our customers can download and enjoy today from the Amazon Appstore,” said Aaron Rubenson, Director, Amazon Appstore.

Gaming celebrities including Boxbox, Professor Broman, Northernlion, lolRenaynay, Brian Kibler and more will be competing in the tournament. The Champions of Fire tournament is going to be live streamed via Twitch, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon.com as well as social media networks that provide live streaming functionality.
