Word on the street has it that Canon has a new mirrorless camera in the works. The company’s mirrorless efforts haven’t exactly been met with a lot of positive feedback, but that’s why it’s interesting and exciting to hear that they might have something new because it’s an opportunity for the company to right any perceived wrongs or mistakes.

Now we have heard that there is a new mirrorless in the form of the EOS M20 that is scheduled to be announced on the 20th of July, but a new report from Canon Rumors is suggesting that the camera could actually be launched towards the end of August instead, or at least that’s according to their source.

At the moment not much is known about the upcoming EOS M20, but given its model number it’s safe to assume that it will be the successor to the EOS M10. However Canon Rumors is claiming that it will apparently be a more pared down version of the EOS M6 in a smaller body, and that it will also probably come equipped with a 24MP sensor.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but with the 20th of July coming up in a few days, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to see if the rumors are true, or if we could be looking at an August launch instead.
