Samsung has gradually been rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for compatible devices in its lineup. After releasing the much-awaited update for many of its smartphones, the company is now turning its attention to tablets. The Galaxy Tab S3 Oreo update is now being rolled out. However, it’s going to take some time before the update becomes available in all markets.

Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Tab S3 in the United Kingdom. It bumps up the tablet to Android 8.0 Oreo and Samsung Experience 9.0 which is the company’s custom Android skin. This means that all of the user interface changes that were introduced on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 are onboard the Galaxy Tab S3 now as well.

Moreover, all of the features that are part and parcel of Android 8.0 Oreo are included in this release as well, such as Autofill API, notification snooze, picture-in-picture support, and more. The security patch for the month of April 2018 is included as well and so is Dolby Atmos support.

Samsung has rolled out this firmware update for the Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the Galaxy Tab S3 in the United Kingdom only so far but it’s not going to be long now before this update is released for the tablet in other markets as well.
