ok first off it says in almost every txt box that u cant use it on the fat PSP so no one else say it. second whoever said that they wanted it for a cell phone is stupid cuz its nothing like a cell phone u have to have an internet connection

you do not have to download skype if you have a slim psp,you just have to go under network and skype is the third application down

YES!My bro has skype and i dont.We both have 3.95 firmware and only his slim psp has it.I tried sending the skype folder to my psp memory stick but it deleted my videos and music.I managed to back them up though.

Skype only works with the PSP 2000 series (Slim) because the software and hardware is updated and improved vs the PSP 1000 series (Fat). And because 1000 series and 2000 series accessories don't work with one another... there is no possiable way to get something on the slim on the fat. In simple words... Skype cannot, in any way, be put on the first PSP! I know it sucks, but if you have the 1000 series PSP (Fat) and want Skype you will have to buy the new PSP 2000 series (Slim). I have the slim so i don't have to worry.

Skype is out for PsP phat u need custom firmware though and the files for skype I'm still looking for files though google is hoorible with tring to find it I have a PDP with custom fw 3.90 m33-3

to download skype you need to have the psp 2000 (slim). a lot of people have the psp 1800 (fat). so you might have get the psp slim. thats what im going to do.

you have to upgrade your psp this time it costs 40 dollars to get it its not free you pay 20 dollars a month.

XD, Sony didn't try their hardest to get it on the fat PSP, they _intentionally_ did that so people would have to buy a PSP Slim if they wanted to use it portably.

Skype is actually quite cheap considering you can call landlines in America for free, and their international rates are really good.

This is a little late now but skype will on work for psp slim as of RAM issues with the fat one and when i posted this it is already time that skype came to the psp soo its looks good but i need a mic

yeh this doesn't work on the old fat PSP1000's because of lack of RAM. Sony have stated that they tried there hardest to get it to work on the older ones but the lack of RAM was just too much of an issue to work around. And iv herd that it will work with the SOCOM headset.

yes it wook's with psp mic or iphone mic just plug it in to the psp remote.
