Cat Door Rigged To Twitter
Posted on Apr 9, 09 09:43 AM PDT

Twitter has seen a phenomenal growth rate, and it is interesting to see what normal folks are able to cook up with this service. A computer programmer decided to rig a cat door to tweet each time a cat enters or exits a home. Dubbed the Tweeting Cat Door (how original), this was developed as the person was sick and tired of neighborhood felines sneaking into his garage and munching on his own cat's food. This invention hopes to prevent such occurences from happening ever again, as his own cats will come equipped with an RFID tag on their respective collars. Once near the cat door, an RFID reader will give safe passage while tweeting thanks to an integrated servo mechanism that is hooked up to a notebook. Can he come up with something which works with a fridge door?
