The WiDRIVE is a HDD enclosure for 1.8” and 2.5” notebook drives, featuring a built-in 802.11b/g WiFi adapter with a battery that can last for up to 2 hours of use. Unfortunately, the 802.11g protocol carries a maximum speed of 54Mbps, thus the poor data transfer rate will relegate this device from EDS Labs as yet another external HDD backup solution. The WiFi connection is neat though. Available in Europe from July onwards for around $95.
