Panasonic R6 a tough nut

The Panasonic R6 notebook would definitely be good friends with the Duracell bunny as the both of them keep on going and going. The R6 is much tougher, of course, surviving a 76cm fall while having a glass of water unceremoniously spilt all over the keyboard, and shrugging both catastrophes (where other notebooks are concerned) as if nothing happened. What is even better would be the fact that the R6 looks like any other normal notebook without having large rubber grips and a thick casing which other “tough” notebooks sport.

The R6 will run on an Intel Core Duo U2400 1.06GHz processor and Windows Vista Business as the operating system of choice. Other hardware specifications include four USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port, LAN connectivity, and an impressive 8 hour battery life, all packed into a sub-kilogram package (930 grams to be exact). There is no word on pricing, and it looks set to be released in Japan only.
