Giant, Raleigh, and Trek have all jumped on the Shimano “Coasting” bandwagon by installing chip-controlled gear shift systems on some of their bikes. This means you get the best ratio at all times without even lifting the finger as your legs continue to work. Depending on the choice of bike, they are currently available for $450 to $700.
