Raytron has unveiled a new robot called Chapit, and this desktop companion is capable of helping you out with simple tasks such as turning on the light, a variety of electronic devices, and being able to recognize a man, woman, or child without having to do some preset programming. The base model ships with a spartan vocabulary of approximately 100 words, but with time and patience, you will be able to expand the Chapit’s vocabulary up to 10,000 words. The Chapit can be hooked up to the Internet to control it remotely. I love the way its mouth can change to display its feelings.
