So the Transformers movie isn’t out yet, but that isn’t stopping the Qtire’s release this year. The Qtire stands heads and shoulders above the crowd thanks to a patented all-weather tire technology for vehicles, featuring studs that can be extended from the surface of the tire whenever you drive through snow and ice. Air bladders are used to push studs out from inside the tire when the situation calls for it, deflating automatically otherwise. Unfortunately, you will have to provide extra maintenance by refilling the air after approximately 50 deployments – not too much of a hassle, but it is a minor annoyance. The Qtires are expected to be available in time for this winter. Be prepared to pay a slight premium over regular tires.
