
Data Evolution has announced its first UMPC that targets the North American market, known as the Cathena CX. This UMPC comes in an extremely portable form factor, featuring a 7″ touchscreen display, a near full size QWERTY keyboard, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a 40GB hard drive, a touch pad, a five-way directional joystick, integrated speakers, USB 2.0 support, and a multi-format memory card reader. An AMD Geode LX800 processor and 512MB RAM are the driving forces behind the Cathena CX. This neat looking UMPC is expected to hit the stores for approximately $800.
