D.I.Y. robots with TeRK

The Telepresence Robot Kit (TeRK) offers robot enthusiasts to build their very own robot from ground up, and what you see on the right is the Qwerkbot – a three-wheeled robot that is capable of sending images over the Internet (something like an impotent Spyke). The Telepresence Robot Kit (TeRK) consists of a robot cotnroller, commonly available parts, and assembly instructions (also known as recipes) that were developed by the CREATE Lab in Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute. These robots can be remotely controlled via the Internet, and some of their functions include sending photos and video, responding to RSS feeds, and even performing an Internet search.
