
I’m not too sure what the big deal is about buying an expensive watch as an investment, as I’d much prefer to drop a hundred grand on a nice apartment instead of picking up a timepiece of the equivalent perceived value where by cellphone does the job perfectly well. The Swiss-made Bell & Ross BR01 Instrument Series watch sums up what is wrong with our society, featuring an extremely large body and bright blue luminous hands at an exorbitant price. And how do we know that? For starters, its on display at the Basel show, where high rollers gather to pick up mere “trinkets” for their other halves.
