
Bowers and Wilkins have dressed up their new pair of marble-sculptured speakers by encrusting them with diamond crystals. The tweeters located on top are stuffed with expensive jewels for a cleaner sound, while the choice of marble as the construction material of choice is supposed to help acoustics. I don’t know about you, but this definitely deserves to be placed in a display cabinet instead of on a desktop where it runs the risk of breaking. There will only be a thousand of these Signature Diamond speakers around, with each retailing for a jaw-dropping £11,000.
