FT robot with female wiles

While most robots until today are of the male variety, very few “female” robots have made their mark in the industry. Tomotaka Takahashi from Japan wants to win one back for the females by introducing the Female Type (FT) robot. Taking more than one year of development, Takahashi believes that 50% of all robots in the future will be of the female variety in the future. I know this sounds weird, but tacking on genders to a robot just doesn’t make much sense to me. A total of 23 motors controlled by an onboard computer enables the FT robot to strut around just like a real woman. Takahashi even drew his inspiration from professional fashion models in order to make the FT’s movement all the more realistic. She’s available for auction at the moment, retailing for $300,000 a pop.
