A Porsche that does not rev? Now that’s something new. The Eton Porsche Design radio was forged from metal with precision knurled knobs and handles, making it one sturdy unit thanks to its cast aluminum housing and crank handle that underwent some machine bolt treatment. Features include AM and FM/Shortwave aerial antenna, an ultra bright dual white LED flashlight, a built-in dynamo cellphone charger, and an emergency siren. For an emergency device that bears the Porsche name, the $199.95 price tag doesn’t come across as expensive. At least it looks really sweet and sturdy when compared to those flimsy-looking plastic emergency torchlight/radio/chargers. If you don’t feel like getting some hand crank action, there is always an AC adapter or three AA batteries to power it.
