Carrying an umbrella isn’t exactly the most manly thing to do, but when it pours cats and dogs, you’ll be the one having the last laugh. Ambient Devices have come up with the Ambient Umbrella which receives weather data from Accuweather.com, letting you know whether there is some rain up the horizon or not within the next 12 hours. Should rain be imminent, the handle will illuminate as a signal. The more intense the flashing is, the heavier the rain will be. Other than predict the weather, the Ambient Umbrella comes with a “gust buster” dual canopy design to prevent you from being dragged away by your umbrella in a storm. A single C-cell battery can last up to a year. The Ambient Umbrella retails for $125 and is more of an unncessary luxury than anything else.
