While these Infrared Robots might not bend it like Beckham in his L.A. Galaxy outfit, they still manage to offer more entertainment than yet another drab performance by the English national team. The rules are pretty simple – each side boasts a single robot who plays the role of goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and striker all rolled into one. Each game can be set to last for 5 or 10 minutes, or you can even make do without the timer until the batteries run out. Each robot can be controlled to move forwards, backwards, left, right, forward sprint, and left and right deviate just like traditional soccer players. No step-overs or banana kicks from these guys though. Each controller and robot thrives on a quartet of AAA batteries, so be prepared with a bunch of rechargeables. You can pick up a set for £28.95.
