Skateboard evolves, loses wheels

Future Horizons has come up with a gas-powered hovercraft known as the Hoverboard which is more than capable of carrying a 250 lb person around at 20mph. This certainly brings back memories of the “Back to the Future” series, but of course there is nothing quite like seeing the future at our doorstep as with the Hoverboard. You will hover up to 3″ above the ground, and the Hoverboard will glide across solid flat surfaces as well as water. You manipulate the Hoverboard using a wired hand controller by directing the speed and rudder position. At $9,000 a pop, this is definitely one rich man’s toy, as other people would prefer to pick up a nice family-sized sedan instead. I wonder whether the Hoverboard does stairs and uneven surfaces.
