More on Dell tablet rumors

Rumors of a Dell tablet have been circulating for a few months now, as this seems the most logical market segment to penetrate for a company that has yet to release such a device. Unfortunately, Dell has remained mum over the issue all this time but even the best kept secrets are uncovered in due time. Someone at IT Expo Alaska in Anchorage purportedly saw Dell parade a demo version of its new tablet, and it is said to come with a brilliant crisp touchscreen display, an SD memory card reader, a fingerprint scanner (for security purposes I presume), and a pocket-sized power brick – all crammed into a thin and light form factor. Price-wise, it is expected to retail between $1,500 and $2,000 with no word on a specific release date although it would be great if Dell could deliver this before the holiday season.
