Tesco will be launching the Trim Trolley that aims to help people work out while they shop – as though shopping isn’t tiring enough already. How do these trolleys give shoppers a work out? For starters, they’re much heavier than standard shopping trolley and get harder and harder to push as the levels increase. These levels are depicted by the amount of calories a shopper has burned up as shown on the screen. Not only that, the very same display shows the pusher’s heart rate for those who are interested to have a higher level of detail in their shopping experience. I wonder whether encouraging folks to exercise while shopping would influence their shopping list.
