Apple & Fox sign deal A movie rental deal, that is, and we will probably see an announcement at Macworld early next year. This deal involves 20th Century Fox license their movies for an iTunes on-demand rental service which allows the movie to be played for a limited amount of time before it expires and is rendered unplayable. Fox DVDs will also come with a copy protected version of the movie that can be copied over to a computer, iPhone or iPod, helping users watch movies wherever they are without breaking the DVD’s copy protection. There is no word on whether enhanced quality will be included in the rentals or DVD copies as at press time. If you haven’t yet picked up a video playing-capable iPod, would you change your stance after hearing this news?
