This is one of the more unique budget speakers that I have come across in a long time – the wooden ladybug speaker. At first glance, it looks like a cylindrical wooden box that holds compact stereo speakers, but upon closer inspection you’ll find that the ladybug’s wings can be opened courtesy of perforations within, revealing both volume and power controls. The wooden ladybug speaker can be powered via USB or AAA batteries, making this a truly portable speaker system that is guaranteed to strike a conversation wherever you go. It retails for approximately $14 a pop – just make sure you keep it far away from termites.
