
Could Apple actually be working on a new handheld console? After all, they did file a trademark protection for
“hand-held units for playing electronic games; hand-held units for playing video games; stand alone video game machines; electronic games other than those adapted for use with television receivers only; LCD game machines; electronic educational game machines; toys, namely battery-powered computer games”.
I’m not too sure whether Apple’s brand name is enough to carry them through a sea of DS Lites and PSPs, but given what they did with phones, everything is possible. Plus, Apple has been looking for video game software engineers to fire for some time…
