Spectec’s SDW-823, tipped to be the first microSD WiFi card in the world is still in limbo apparently as it has not yet been released despite being announced for sale originally last August, with word that it will ship this year. Apparently, Spectec is currently going through “marketing strategy and some technical issues” which is causing all these hiccups. Word has it that Spectec will be launching the device this July after submitting it for regulatory approval a month prior. The CDMA version of the HTC Touch is a prime candidate for this card since it lacks WiFi connectivity but has a microSD memory card slot.
