
It seems that the insanely high gas prices has driven ordinary folk like you and I to think of alternative methods to cope with life, and most people would have already ditched their fuel guzzlers for a smaller car, while others have rediscovered the joys of public transport. Of course, there is a certain segment of the population who have jumped at the chance to pick up the Segway – a self-balancing electric scooter that is becoming increasingly popular for short commutes, thanks to a 25-mile range. Still, the $5,000 price tag might put plenty of people off, but at least it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket each time the batteries run empty.
