BenQ does not want to miss out on the hot netbook market and has unleashed the Joybook Lite U1 on the masses, featuring near identical specifications as the Eee PC 1000H as well as the MSI Wind. Upon a closer look, you will find the following :-
- 10″ LCD display at 1,024 x 600 resolution
- Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor
- 1GB RAM
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- 4-in-1 memory card reader
You can choose between Windows XP Home and Linux as the operating system of choice. The Joybook Lite U1 will be equipped with a 5400rpm hard drive, although there is no word on its capacity as at press time. BenQ hopes to target the Joybook Lite U1 somewhere in the region of $470. Picking one up? It might not have the pedigree of other more established brands, but just take a look at the guy in the picture above – can you just feel the love and enthusiasm?
